This course places the student aboard a cruising sailboat for hands on navigation and sailing experience on the eastern Intracoastal Waterway. You will plan daily passages calculating distances and arrival times for bridge openings and overnight anchorages. Students will gain valuable knowledge on understanding waterway daymarks, the inland Rules of the Road, radio communication protocols, ships provisioning and safe waterway boating procedures.

You will act as skipper and crew assisting with all aspects of sailing the vessel. This is a exceptional opportunity to see and feel beautiful remote areas filled with wildlife along the eastern seaboard of America.
